HEALTH GUARANTEE
Puppies sold by Northwest Sheepadoodles are in the best possible health to the best of our ability and knowledge. While our puppies are in our care, we feed them well and give them excellent attention and care to grow into strong and healthy pets for years to come. However no human can ever fully guarantee against mother nature. We offer a one year guarantee against specific testable genetic defects as indicated in the list of testing we have done on the parents:
Degenerative Myelopathy, GM2 Gangliosidosis, Neonatal Encephalopathy w/seizures, Osteochondrodysplasia
Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Rod Cone Degeneration, Von Willebrand Disease, Exercise-Induced Collapse, Multidrug Resistance 1, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia.
When our puppies leave our home to go to their forever homes, they will have had their first set of shots, and will have been carefully checked by a licensed vet and received a clean bill of health, you are welcome to speak directly with our Veterinarian. ***IMPORTANT: You must take your puppy for a Vet check within 3 days of possession.
You strongly recommend the FREE Trupanion 30 Day Health insurance at no cost to you and no obligation to continue insurance after 30 days. You must activate your Trupanion policy either one day before, the day of, or one day after you receive your puppy. We find this health insurance to be an added bonus as puppies can get into mischief!
WHAT'S NOT COVERED
We are not responsible if a puppy contracts a communicable disease, worms or infection after leaving our possession. The Health Guarantee does not include congenital issues, improper bites, hernias, cherry eye, or any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals or physical injury. Although parents hips and elbows are healthy certified with OFA, we do not guarantee against Hip Dysplasia as that can often be result of how you raise your puppy (such as over exercise).
CARING FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY
Our puppies are generally very easy to care for. Here are a few pointers that we think are important reminders of how to care for your new puppy, and are prerequisite for the health guarantee to be valid.

CARING FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY
Our puppies are generally very easy to care for. Here are a few pointers that we think are important reminders of how to care for your new puppy, and are prerequisite for the health guarantee to be valid.
- Keep your puppy up to date on shots, worming and other preventative protocol.
- Find a vet that you feel comfortable with, and keep regular appointments so your vet gets to know your puppy. A vet visit within 3 days of possession of your puppy is required for the guarantee.
- Feed your puppy a good, well-rounded diet. We recommend a diet without wheat. We do not feed our dogs chicken as that is a common food allergy.
- Avoid exposing your puppy to physically stressful situations, such as frequent stair climbing or standing on concrete for long periods of time during his formative years.
- Make sure your puppy has plenty of exercise on a regular basis but do not overdo it. Puppies need lots of rest too. However it is best to not over exercise them until they are full grown.
- Puppies are prone to anxiety and anxiety can cause many behavioral issues. You must train your pup to know that you are not abandoning him or her. This takes time and patience. We really like Cesar Milan's "How to Raise the Perfect Puppy" and you will get a free, new copy.
- We do our best to train puppies while we have them however they will still be a puppy when you receive them so please expect puppy behavior. Though we will try, some may or may not be fully potty trained.
